Live-Restaurierung mit Barbara Scheibli

The paintings "Intention" and "High spirits" from 1938 and 1939 are outstanding examples of Paul Klee’s late work. They reveal a complex and multi-layered composition. Even though they are in a good condition today, more than 75 years after they were made, it has become absolutely essential to stabilise certain areas where particles of material and paint are no longer attached to the picture support in the best possible way.

The stabilisation work is being carried out by the painting restorer of Zentrum Paul Klee, Barbara Scheibli. The two works are being prepared for the big exhibition "Klee and Kandinsky" which the Zentrum Paul Klee is organising next year (19 June to 27 September 2015) in collaboration with the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich.
