In Paul Klee’s Enchanted Garden

Launch of the exhibition

"East of Eden. A Garden Show" is the overall title the Zentrum Paul Klee has given its two major summer exhibitions in 2008. The first of these, "In Paul Klee’s Enchanted Garden", opens tomorrow, Friday, 16 May and takes as its theme Paul Klee’s lifelong pursuit of nature as an artistic resource. It brings together more than 130 carefully selected works that reveal the richness of his creative originality, all products of an exceptional artistic imagination – far beyond any contemplative floral idyll. On its conclusion, the exhibition (17.5. to 31.8.2008) travels to Oslo’s Henie-Onstad Art Centre and the Bergen Art Museum. The exhibition’s preview also sees the Creaviva children’s museum launch its interactive stations under the title "Garden Art, Artificial Garden".
