Visitors to the Zentrum Paul Klee are entitled to expect the very best – not just from a cultural point of view but also from a culinary one. Indeed the Zentrum’s catering establishments is under the supervision of top chef Werner Rothen, previously catering head chef at the Schweizerhof, (including the 17 Gault-Millau Schultheissenstube).
Werner Rothen is acting as executive chef with overall catering responsibility for the Restaurant Schöngrün and the Zentrum Paul Klee. Werner Rothen offers his guests a modern cuisine characterised by market fresh produce and a distinctive bistro atmosphere.
The "Restaurants Schöngrün" include Restaurant Schöngrün right next to the Zentrum (with private salons for small private functions), the modern Café on Museum Street, and a catering offer for groups of 20 or more.
All the catering at the Zentrum Paul Klee is to be operated by ZFV-Unternehmungen (formerly Zürcher Frauenverein). This distinguished and long established Swiss catering company was founded in 1894 and is organised as a co-operative. ZFV operates its own hotels (Sorell) as well as many restaurants and corporate catering companies.
