Starting with found objects such as furniture, food or household devices, I extend or cast them into odd artificial hybrids. I try to emphasize their fictional potential through this partial transformation.

I am often part of my installations as a performer, however I see myself as an inhabitant - someone that makes clear that this is really happening now.

Stuck with uncomfortable masks or costumes and an often pathetic soundtrack, an atmosphere of suspense is created as I wait around or repeat banal actions until they become surreal through their stylization.

While these environments initially seem silly and nonsensical there is an internal logic which grows from the elements of the situation itself. I imagine these scenes like a Perpetuum Mobile.
