The publications of the Paul-Klee-Stiftung

The archive provided the basis for many publications by the Paul-Klee-Stiftung (Paul Klee Foundation – PKS): the inventory of the collection held by the Paul-Klee-Stiftung, in several volumes, the publication of manuscripts and exhibition catalogues, and research literature.


Publications
Prior to its merging with the Stiftung Zentrum Paul Klee (Zentrum Paul Klee Foundation – SZPK) at the end of 2004 the Paul-Klee-Stiftung had published the following works:

  • Paul Klee. Tagebücher 1898–1918, critical new edition, edited by Wolfgang Kersten, Stuttgart/Teufen 1987.
  • Paul Klee. Leben und Werk, published in co-operation with the Museum of Modern Art New York, New York/Stuttgart 1979 (new edition 1996).

During years of intensive research work the work of Paul Klee was systematically structured by the Paul-Klee-Stiftung using scientific methods. The result of this work is the publication of an extensive catalogue of works by Paul Klee, the Catalogue raisonné Paul Klee in nine volumes.
