Spatial redefinition of the location and revaluation of the surrounding districts

The Landscape Sculpture of the Zentrum Paul Klee has re-defined the focal point of the gentle valley of the Wyssloch with the Egelsee lake, the soft rolling landscape along Melchenbühlweg, the Schosshalden cemetery and the wooded area.

The various entities blend to form an island of green that is unmistakable in its appearance. This green island is to remain largely undeveloped in the future and continue to provide a recreation area for the city. Towards the north it will one day be bordered by a residential housing scheme, to be built on the present horticultural area along Schosshaldenstrasse.

The objectives include
Highlighting the demarcations between the housing areas and the landscaped area of Wyssloch – Schöngrün – Schosshalde – Melchenbühl.

No further building construction on the Schöngrun land area.

Guaranteeing the spare cemetery ground in the eastern part of the land area.

Building residential housing on the Florama land area to a very high urbanistic and architectural standard.

Landscaping the area between the hostel of the Burgerliches Jugendwohnheim Schosshalde (BJW) and the Rudolf-Steiner School as open, park-like grounds.

Preserving the Wyssloch site as extensively used farmland with a small tree stand.
