Interactive cubes on themes and techniques relating to Paul Klee

Interactive exhibition accompanying the exhibition Cosmos Klee. The collection

Paul Klee touches many areas of life with his art and is the inspiration and starting point for art education at the Creaviva. The 20th anniversary of the Zentrum Paul Klee and Creaviva is a special occasion to put the spotlight on Paul Klee's five friends: the line, the dot, colour, nature and signs.

The so-called five CreaMobiles offer an inspiring and interactive approach to the artist's world of images and forms. They each show different sides and aspects of his art and are accessible in their form and structure from several sides at the same time. The drawers contain objects, games, tools and clues that invite visitors to embark on a very individual and playful journey of discovery around Klee. Tactile reliefs of selected works by Paul Klee, created in co-operation with the Zollikofen School for the Blind, provide a haptic approach to art.

In the centre of all about Klee is a space where doing nothing is just as welcome as doing something. A place that demands nothing from anyone, but waits to see what is made of it. Be it activities such as games, reading, talking, creating or simply being. What appears light and open is actually the result of many thoughts, ideas and encounters. Behind the room is the creative energy of seven children from the Creaviva Club.

Children aged eight to ten meet regularly at the Creaviva Club to take a look behind the scenes of the cultural institution - and to become active themselves. Over the course of six months, they asked themselves: What are we missing at the Creaviva? The answer was clear and unanimous: a space without a task, without expectations. A space where you can just be. Step by step, this idea gave rise to a place that embodies exactly that. The children conceptualised and designed, tried out, discussed, discarded and started again. This is how a question became a concrete place - open, inviting and conceived entirely from a child's perspective.
