Embroidering with unconventional materials and methods
In this course, we will learn the basics of embroidery on jute. Jute is an environmentally friendly material that is ideal for embroidery. Embroidery, an art form that has been practiced for thousands of years, has evolved from a traditional craft to an important form of expression in contemporary art.
Traditionally, various techniques such as cross-stitch, chain stitch, and satin stitch are used in embroidery. These techniques are still popular today, but contemporary artists are increasingly experimenting with unconventional materials and methods. In this evening course, we will discover the exciting and almost limitless possibilities of embroidery, experiment with methods, and let our creativity run wild!
