Oil and water repel each other – this is the principle behind all lithography. Transfer lithography is one of the classic planographic printing techniques. It is simple to handle and yet particularly exciting: we print by hand, without any solvents or chemicals.

 

Our own photographs and drawings, printed as black-and-white laser copies, serve as printing plates for this technique. We print using gum arabic and oil paint and explore an experimental printing technique that opens up new and surprising possibilities for our own artistic practice.

Approx. 30 black-and-white laser copies in A4 and A5 of photos, sketches and/or drawings. Each motif should be copied 4–6 times. The laser copies must have strong contrast, with solid black and white and no shades of grey. Please use 120 gsm paper for the copies.

 

Two weeks before the course begins, we will inform you by email whether the minimum number of participants has been reached. If the course cannot take place, the course fee will be refunded.
