From line drawing to painting

Together we will discover the fascinating technique of oil transfer. This printing technique was developed by Paul Klee himself, who recognized drawings as works of art in their own right, equal to paintings. 

The workshop begins with an introduction to the work of Paul Klee. We will look at selected works by the artist in detail and draw inspiration from his use of line. We will then sketch our own motifs, from which we will select a few for printing. We will learn this exciting technique step by step and create our own works. Primed newspaper will serve as our medium.
