«Orange» trail

From Bern main station to the Zentrum Paul Klee
The trail leads through the lively city centre, across Waisenhausplatz, Kornhausplatz and Theaterplatz. It crosses the Aare on the Kirchenfeldbrücke bridge and leads from Helvetiaplatz down to Schwellenmätteli. The tree-lined Aare riverside path leads to Bärengraben with views of the old town and cathedral. A gentle ascent to the quiet residential area of Obstberg with Paul Klee's parents' house, on to Egelsee and through the Wyssloch landscape belt with magnificent views to the Zentrum Paul Klee.

«Red» trail

Circular trail Zentrum Paul Klee - Ostermundigen quarries 
The trail leads from the Zentrum Paul Klee to the Schosshalden cemetery with Paul Klee's grave, then through the Schosshalden forest to Ostermundigen, past the alte Steinhauerplatz in Waldegg to Ostermundigen railroad station. From there through the village center with witnesses to the rural and commercial history of the village, then uphill to the viewing and information point in the quarries (reproductions of Klee's paintings at the place of inspiration, rest area with covered shelter). From the quarries, the panoramic trail leads downhill mainly through forest and across open fields near Dennigkofen back to the Zentrum Paul Klee.

«Purple» trail

From the Zentrum Paul Klee to Bern main station 
The trail touches the Schosshalden cemetery with Paul Klee's grave, shows a modern housing estate away from the traffic as well as examples of Bernese country estates from the 18th century and reaches the rose garden high above the Aare and the old town. From here, descend over the Nydegg Bridge to the cathedral, continue through the old town to the Bundesterrasse behind the Bundeshaus with views over the Marzili and Gurten to the Bernese Alps. Via the Bundesplatz back to Bern main station.
